AAA Creation Party

22/05/2010

Suzannah Pettigrew and Mark Batlow were personally invited by AAA to collaborate on a performance art piece. In an installation rendered out of corrugated cardboard furniture and cartoonesque wall murals, Batlow painted Suzannah’s unclothed body with an array of altered Disney characters, as she reclined on a cardboard chaise lounge and played the role of the archetypal femme fatale. The performance was a visual conversation exploring our societal obsession with the consumption of corporate products, and later evolved into the ‘Ask an Artist’ feature in the first issue of the magazine.
